Manley presently resides in a nursing home - the only place his diabetes can remain under control. Manley accompanies his girlfriend to church every Sunday followed by dinner with his wife. A veteran of the 402nd WAC Band in World War II. Mary was devoted to her twin sisters who died 3 years ago. Mary is forced to relive their deaths every two to three weeks because she has severe short term memory loss. To ward off the sadness Mary endlessly recounts her time as a drummer in the 402nd WAC band during WWII.
A mother of 8 who ran her home like an army sergeant.Loretta and her husband brought up a family of eight with an income bordering on poverty. The police were familiar with her kids for all the wrong reasons. She wishes that she had more time for her kids but the regimentation of running a household on next too nothing made this impossible.
